We understand the importance of trying a mattress before committing to a purchase. However, as an online-only company, we don’t offer traditional in-store trials.
Here’s why we believe our 100-night in-home trial is the better option:
- Try it in your own comfort: Unlike a store setting, you can experience the mattress in your own sleep environment, with your pillows and bedding. This allows for a more accurate assessment of how comfortable the mattress is for you.
- No sales pressure: In retail stores, salespeople might influence your decision. With our in-home trial, you can decide at your own pace, without any pressure.
- Competitive pricing: By avoiding physical stores and showrooms, we keep our prices lower. This allows you to get a high-quality mattress at a great value.
Our 100-night trial gives you ample time to test the mattress and see if it meets your needs. If for any reason you’re not happy, you can easily return it for a full refund.
Here’s a quick guide to getting your new mattress ready for a blissful sleep:
- For easier handling, grab a friend or family member to help you carry the box to your bedroom.
- Lay the box on its side and carefully cut it open. Slide out the vacuum-sealed bag containing your mattress.
- Place the sealed bag on your compatible bed frame or foundation.
- Cut away the outer plastic wrap from the bag. Unroll the compressed mattress onto your bed frame. You might need to flip it depending on how it’s packaged.
- Carefully cut away the inner plastic wrap and slide it off. Watch as your mattress starts to de-compress and regain its full shape!
- Allow at least 30 minutes for your mattress to fully expand before enjoying your first night’s sleep. For maximum comfort, give it a full 24 hours to reach its intended shape.
- Hold onto the plastic bag until your 100-night sleep trial is over. If you need to return the mattress, you’ll need to place it back in the bag for pickup.
Going Green: The cardboard box can be recycled right away!
Once your mattress is shipped, you can expect it to arrive within the following timeframes, depending on your location in Canada:
- Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia: 4-6 business days
- Manitoba, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan: 2-5 business days
- Ontario: 1-2 business days

- Your Comfort is Our Priority: We understand adjusting to a new mattress takes time. That’s why you have a full 100 nights to try out your Silk & Rest mattress in the comfort of your own home.
- Experience Matters: We recommend sleeping on your new mattress for at least 21 nights before making a decision. This allows your body to adjust and experience the full comfort benefits.
- Hassle-Free Returns (if needed): If after 100 nights you decide the mattress isn’t the perfect fit, simply contact our customer service team through your online account or by phone. Initiating a return is easy!
- Supporting a Good Cause: To ensure a smooth return process, we’ll ask you to take a few pictures of your mattress. These photos will be used by our charity partners who receive returned mattresses.
Quick Refunds: Once your return is scheduled and pickup is confirmed, we’ll promptly process your full refund (minus shipping charges).
To maximize the lifespan and comfort of your Silk & Rest mattress, we recommend rotating it every 4-6 months. This is especially important if there’s a significant weight difference between the people sleeping on it.
Here’s how to easily rotate your mattress:
- Simple 180-Degree Turn: With a helper (if needed), simply grab the mattress and turn it 180 degrees. What was once the head of the bed becomes the foot, and vice versa.
- Why Rotate, Not Flip? Our mattresses are designed with specific layers for optimal support and comfort. Rotating ensures even wear across the surface without disrupting this carefully crafted structure.

You might be wondering how long it takes to get used to a new mattress. While some people adjust quickly, it’s common for others to take up to a month to feel fully comfortable.
Here at Silk & Rest, we understand that a good night’s sleep is essential for your well-being. That’s why we recommend giving your new mattress at least 21 nights before considering a return. This allows your body time to adjust to the new support and pressure relief it provides.

We understand that plans can change! Here’s how to cancel your Silk & Rest order, depending on its stage:
Before your order is placed:
- Simply contact us through phone, live chat, or email. We’ll be happy to cancel your order.
After your order is placed, but not shipped:
- Contact us as soon as possible. We’ll inform our manufacturing team to cancel the order before it ships out.
After your order is shipped:
- Reach out to us right away. We’ll try to request a “return to sender” with our courier partner. However, if this request isn’t received on time:
- You have the option to refuse the delivery when it arrives.
After your order is delivered:
- You can still cancel! We’ll initiate a return pickup with our courier partner, following our standard return policy.
Refunds:
You’ll receive a full refund (minus any shipping charges) once your order is cancelled, or after we’ve inspected a returned item at our warehouse.
